Successful IEA Bioenergy Task 39 Webinar: "Advanced Biofuels for Transport Decarbonisation"
On 30 June 2026, over 400 participants from academia, industry, and policy discussed the latest developments in advanced biofuels during the webinar "Advanced Biofuels for Transport Decarbonisation". The event, held under the auspices of IEA Bioenergy Task 39, once again underscored the critical role of these technologies in decarbonising the transport sector.
The webinar provided compelling insights from four renowned experts, including two representatives from BEST. They presented recent advances in technology pathways for advanced biofuels, highlighted commercial progress, and explored global perspectives—such as cellulosic ethanol—as well as regional successes, including the use of biomethane in Brazil. The presentations sparked considerable interest and prompted lively discussions with the audience.
